Young mom is Digicel Fame & Fortune's first millionaire

Friday, July 20, 2007

I feel your joy, sister! Vibesmaster Jerry D felt the magic that filled the air during the final episode of the Digicel Fame & Fortune game show when Ipsita Prince, winner of the CVM 'I want Fame & Fortune' competition, got five attempts to spin the Digicel Grand Prize Wheel and collect the largest amount she landed on. On her second spin, she hit the million-dollar mark and pandemonium broke out in the audience. The young mother of one jumped for joy, then shed a few happy tears, as the crowd cheered her on.

The first season of local television's biggest game show, Digicel Fame & Fortune, ended with a bang when young mother, Ipsita Prince, walked away the first million-dollar winner.

Prince was the winner of CVM TV's 'I want Fame & Fortune' competition and as such was entitled to five spins of the Digicel Grand Prize wheel, with the assurance that she would cash-in on her most lucrative effort.

It only took two spins for her to become the show's first millionaire, sending host Jerry D and the audience into a frenzy.

The lucky winner could not hide her joy as she pranced up and down the stage with tears streaming down her face. When asked how she felt, Prince said, "I feel great. It is like a dream come true. I have received more than a start in life".
She plans to invest the money so that one day she can purchase a house.

Another competitor, Sheldon Davis, also cashed in as the biggest winner on the last episode with a combined total of $225,000; $175,000 in cash from the Digicel Grand Prize Wheel, $50,000 in combined winnings from sponsors Cool Group, Super Plus, Courts and NCB.
