Fourteen Jamaicans who have given distinguished service to music, entertainment, art and theatre were among the 192 individuals recognised yesterday at the annual Investiture and Presentation of National Honours and Awards ceremony.

The event was held inside the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, a change from the traditional King's House venue, as the organisers were unsure of what the weather would be like after a low pressure system dumped inches of rain on the island for all of last week.
