Top designers, models block MoBay with fashion

Friday, May 02, 2008

Kingston, Jamaica:-- Saint International presents the third staging of the Caribbean's premier fashion event, FashionBlock on Saturday, on Gloucestershire Avenue. Uniting local designers, models and fashion buffs, on the Caribbean's longest runway, the high energy event is once again highly anticipated.

This year's show will see a glamorous mixture of Jamaica's hypest men's wear and women's wear designers such as: Melissa Dunkley, Les Campbell, Schnell Francis, Pablo Palair, Martine Miller, Filicia, Judith Dunkley, Phillip Reid, Orville Lewis and Reve. Also, Digicel will unveil their new fashion line done by Dexter Pottinger.

Conscious of Western Jamaica's innate fashionable side, Saint International's CEO, Deiwght Peters, is ecstatic about MoBay FashionBlock 2008. He is also very supportive of the quest to build the fashion profile of our local designers, especially those from the west.

"I am excited to return to Montego Bay as it holds a special place in my heart - it is where I found one of my biggest superstars to date - Canise Jackson - for the very first Faces of Summer," commented Peters. He finished by saying that the event "will be an exhilarating night of unadulterated high energy glamour".

The event is free and begins promptly at 2:00 pm. Some of the Hip Strip's hippest businesses have thrown their full support behind the event which will see a vibrant and inimitable combination of high glamour, Jamaica's best designers and top international models on display.

Showtime is 8:00 pm on Saturdayat the Old Hospital Park, Gloucester Avenue (across from Wexford Court).
