'What was I thinking?' Chris Brown speaks out

People Post

Saturday, November 07, 2009

Singer Chris Brown admitted yesterday he didn't know what he was thinking when he attacked his former girlfriend Rihanna.

The R&B star said 'anger' was behind the assault just hours before the then-couple were due to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party in February.

Speaking on MTV he claimed he still loved Rihanna and when asked what drove him to hit his ex-girlfriend, he said, "Just anger. Yeah, anger. Young people, we do before we think."

And describing his emotions for the first time since the attack, Brown said: "My thoughts are like, 'Why did it happen? What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?'"

Rihanna was left battered and bruised after an argument with Brown in his rented Lamborghini as they were returning from another event.

Brown, 20, was arrested that night, and later pleaded guilty to assault and was ordered to stay away from Rihanna.

He was also placed on probation for five years and sentenced to six months of community service.

His comments come as Rihanna urged women suffering domestic violence to speak out and get help.

The 21-year-old singer said she hopes other victims will take 'inspiration' from her experience.

She told ABC's Good Morning America: "I want to send a message to young women who have been through this sort of violence that there is help out there."

She said she feared going back to Brown had initially sent her fans who may be in the same predicament the wrong message.

Speaking to veteran broadcaster Diane Sawyer, she said, "I fell in love with that person - that is embarrassing."

"It's embarrassing that, that is the type of person I fell in love with, so far in love, so unconditionally that I went back."

In a message of defiance to abuse victims who blame themselves, she said, "I am strong. This happened to me. I didn't cause this, I didn't do it. This
happened to me and it could happen to anybody."

It seems even Megan Fox allows herself a day off from playing the Hollywood star.

The actress, known for jaw-dropping appearances on the red carpet, made a rare departure from her usual revealing style during a trip into town.
Without heavy make-up or a clinging dress, the 23-year-old looked almost girl-next-door in her ripped jeans and grey T-shirt. She was accompanied by boyfriend Brian Austin Green, 36, who is best known for his role in Beverly Hills 90210.

He co-ordinated with Megan's dressed-down look, also opting for a pair of jeans with a shirt and cap. - Daily Mail

Katy Perry wows in her 12 costumes

Katy Perry pulled off a show-stopping turn as the host of the MTV Europe Music Awards Thursday night, as she dazzled in 12 different outfits.

In a bid to go one better than last year, when she had 10 costume changes at the same bash, the American singer made sure she was the fashion queen at the star-studded event in Berlin.

While starting the night off demurely in a floor-length pink Marchesa gown, Katy went on to flaunt her curves in a series of skimpy outfits on stage.
