Our very own Lisa Hutchinson was recently featured in the April/May issue of UK magazine BlackHair. She shared her expertise on local hair trends and even made future predictions on trendy 'dos for the summer. Hutchinson is an experienced hair stylist and the owner of Lisa's Full Service salon in Kingston. She is also the recipient of Observer Under the Dryer Award — Best Place For a Fab Short Bob. "The hair and beauty business is very big in Jamaica. Women in Kingston take great pride in their appliance, ensuring that at least twice a month their hair is properly maintained by a professional. We are always current in terms of global trends and cutting edge styles. The styles favored my Kingston women range from short pixie cuts, sharply elevated bobs, styles suited for natural hair and long layered extensions. We also love the latest colour trends. The common thread however, is that we always look fabulous. This summer I predict there will be lots of short cropped pixie cuts. I also predict lots of vibrant colours: red, copper and blonde will be the colours to look out for."
