Heidi Klum and Seal to file for DIVORCE

People Post

Sunday, January 22, 2012

Heidi Klum and Seal are to file for divorce after six years of marriage, according to reports. The couple will apparently file divorce papers in the LA County Superior Court early next week, TMZ reported.

The website said German supermodel Heidi, 38, will cite 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split. The reports have shocked fans of the couple who often make public displays of affection at red carpet events, and are a picture of happiness with their four children. The couple or their management are yet to comment on the reports. They were last seen together on December 27, with Heidi tweeting a picture of her and her husband smiling against the backdrop of mountains in Aspen, Colorado. They met in 2004 while Heidi was pregnant with her daughter Leni, now seven, with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. London-born crooner Seal, 48, was present for Leni's birth and later adopted her. He proposed on December 23, 2004, in an igloo, built on a glacier in British Columbia. The couple married on the beach on May 10, 2005 in Mexico, near Seal's home on Mexico's Costa Careyes. They have three children, Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two. The couple is famous for renewing their vows every year on their anniversary in a lavish ceremony. Seal cryptically reportedly tweeted last Friday: “The End.”

Stars pay tribute to Andy Whitfield at Spartacus premiere

The late Andy Whitfield’s turn as the eponymous hero of Starz' Spartacus was always going to be a tough act to follow, especially given the sad reason why the Welsh actor was forced to leave the show.

Whitfield died last September from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, at the age of 39, just 18 months after being diagnosed with the disease, which halted filming on the popular saga. But last week, his respectful successor Liam McIntyre took his place in the show's pantheon of stars as he premiered Spartacus: Vengeance at the Arclight theatre in Hollywood. The 29-year-old Aussie accepted the role of the Roman gladiator who leads a slave rebellion, only after it became clear that Whitfield wouldn't be able to return. He told the LA Times: “Being Spartacus is challenging enough, but living up to what Andy did … it's tough.” He added: “I can't be Andy. All I can do is try to get at what Spartacus is about on an emotional level.” A thenscrawny McIntyre was discovered on an audition tape and while producers were impressed, there was concern that he lacked the physical presence to play the part. McIntyre was dispatched to New Zealand to undergo two months of boot camp to get into gladiator form. Now, he's just concerned about how the fans will react when he finally roars: “‘I am Spartacus’! It's like saying, 'I'm Bond. James Bond.'”

Here comes the Prince

Party-loving Prince Harry is to visit Rio as part of his first solo royal tour in March. The 27-year-old is also planning to stay on in Brazil for a three-day holiday afterwards, giving him plenty of time to admire the sights on Ipanema Beach.

The third-in-line-to-the-throne is undertaking the 10-day trip on behalf of the Queen as part of his grandmother's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. He will visit Belize from March 2 to 3, the Bahamas — New Providence Island — from March 3 to 5 and Jamaica — including Kingston and Falmouth — March 5 to 8. The last of these legs is likely to be particularly politically sensitive, as Jamaica’s new prime minister, Portia Simpson Miller, has vowed to abandon the Queen as head of state and adopt a republican form of government. The itinerary for the foreign visits has not been released but Harry is almost certain to meet her at some point during his tour. Afterwards he will fly onto Brazil, visiting Rio de Janeiro and the State of Sao Paolo, between March 9 and 11. A spokesman for the prince said he also hoped to use the visit to further the interests of the charitable foundation he has set up with his brother, Prince William, which focuses on young people, conservation and the armed forces.
