After an immersion in the artistry of master painter Barrington Watson at the National Gallery of Jamaica last Sunday, a trek through the streets of downtown Kingston — a place once hailed as the financial capital of the city — seemed in order. Replete with history — and typically bursting at the seams with frenetic energy in its busy streets — the area had an uncharacteristically chill atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon when most people, we reckon, felt content to stay in.
