Swift Styling

Saturday, February 04, 2012

Taylor Swift has become one of country music's most popular stars. The 22-year-old has not only won over many with her voice and songwriting abilities but also with her chic sense of style. She has become known for her penchant for baby-doll dresses: while launching her new fragrance Wonderstruck at Cool Springs Galleria in Tennessee earlier this year, Swift wore an über-cute Ted Baker dress. Here is how you can get the look for less.

Tips:

* Though you may not be able to afford a Ted Baker, you can capture the essence of the trend by getting a baby-doll dress in a variety of styles. You may try a sleeveless, belted or even a sequinned baby-doll dress.

* Bold colours and print are in this season. Do not be afraid to make a fashion statement in either trend.

* Do not over-accessorise. Though you have heard it many times: less is more.

* The baby-doll trend is ideal for vintage fashion lovers. So if you want to channel the '60s, accessorise accordingly with statement pieces that are representative of the era.

Taylor's style is perhaps one of the easiest celeb looks to imitate. So if you want to attempt other looks by Taylor, remember to keep it simple. She has the typical girl-next-door look, with comfort being the main priority. Opt for classic pieces rather than on-trend fads.
