So far his passion for good music, his positive outlook and dashing good looks have hurled him into the spotlight - right where he likes it. As one of the producers of the hot, new Magnum-sponsored 'Kings and Queens of the Dancehall' talent show, Sanjay is balancing his music career with the many side-projects he has lined up. On life as a recording artiste: I have been enjoying it but there are many different challenges out there and you have to work hard to keep an active presence. But I love doing music.
Dream job outside the music industry: Television production.
Latest extravagant indulgence: Dolce and Gabbana shades.
Books or magazines: I read books more than magazines.
Last good book read: The Unbearable Lightness Of Being by Milan Kundera.
Best part about being famous: The girls (Laughs).
Worst part about being famous: People tend to associate wealth with fame and that is not always the case.
Best pick-up line you ever used or heard: I don't use pick-up lines. I think they are corny. But one of the funniest I've heard goes: 'Hey, girl, you dropped something. What? My heart.'
Nice guy cred: I always try to be honest with people I deal with.
Your personal style is: T-shirts and jeans, old-school mesh merinos and caps are my thing.
CD in your music player now: Continuum by John Mayer.
Favourite dessert: Almost anything with chocolate.
Most embarrassing thing done trying to impress a girl: I don't think I have had any of those situations (Laughs).
Most romantic thing done trying to impress a girl: For Valentine's Day one year, I sent a girl an anonymous bouquet of flowers with a poem on it that read: 'For you, I want to be the fire that forever burns on a candle that never melts'.
What do you love most about Jamaican women: They have a certain candidness and honesty about them that I find attractive.
What is your idea of perfect happiness: Attaining all my goals career-wise and finding a soulmate that I can have a stable home life with.
