US embassy invites telecoms pros to Chicago exhibition
Observer Business Reporter
Wednesday, May 19, 2004

The world's largest exhibition and conference for communication services providers and network managers which takes place in the United States annually, will be held in Chicago from June 22 to 24 and the US Embassy in Kingston says it wants Jamaican telecoms professionals to attend.

The organisers, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), say SUPERCOMM will showcase the latest innovations in communication technologies, all at one time and in one place. The show is officially endorsed by the US Department of Commerce.

The special focus of SUPERCOMM this year will be Broadband, Enterprise Networks, Converged Wireless and the entire Public Network Infrastructure.

Exhibitors from around the world will have on show cutting-edge technologies and related events will include more than 145 free and paid education sessions presented by more than 500 global telecom industry leaders. The focus on enterprise, broadband and wireless will complement the conference's traditional array of infrastructure solutions.

Jamaican telecom professionals interested in attending the event should call the Foreign Commercial Service at the US Embassy at 920-0749, fax 920-2580 or e-mail Kingston.office.box@mail.doc.gov to register.
