Rollover minutes coming this month
Observer Reporter
Sunday, December 05, 2004

Digicel has announced that it will be offering 'rollover minutes', allowing its customers to carry unused cellphone talk-time from one month to the next.

The offer is available in all seven of its Caribbean locations, but is applicable only to its post-paid customers.
To take effect this month, all post-paid customers will be automatically eligible. No application is required.

"The Digicel billing system will simply carry over every unused minute for use the following month," said a release from the company. If, for example, a digiSelect post-paid plan customer does not use all 300 minutes allocated, unused minutes will be credited for the next month, and reflected on the customer's bill.

Though rollover minutes are available in other markets, Digicel is the first in the region to offer it.
The Irish company operates regionally in Aruba, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
