C&WJ introduces chatZone
PRODUCT NEWS

Sunday, December 12, 2004

Cable & Wireless Jamaica's bmobile has launched a new messaging service, 'chatZone', an instant messaging service which allows customers to link with family and friends worldwide, via text messaging.

The service allows customers to log into their Yahoo, MSN or ICQ instant messaging accounts and chat with friends via their bmobile phones.

The chatZone product also allows bmobile customers to search for and chat with new friends worldwide "without revealing their mobile number", C&WJ said in a release.

It allows users to add friends to their buddy list, join chat rooms and have multiple nicknames. The chatZone service is costed at an introductory $1.99 per message, until December 31; and at $2.50 per message.

To use the service, download an instant messaging service from a provider and log in.

"Customers will instantly appear online in their friends' messenger buddy list, once they dial into the service on their bmobile," said C&WJ.
