BWIA discontinues service on four routes

Sunday, April 24, 2005

BWIA West Indies Airways Limited is cutting its service to four gateways in the region, as the financially strapped airline struggles to remain afloat.

Flights to and from Costa Rica, Curacao and the Dominican Republic were cut on Wednesday, while the airline plans to cut Cuba on May 2.

General Manager Nelson Tom Yew, in a release on the route cuts, thanked BWIA customers for their support of the airline and its employees in its period of transition.
