Mailpac expands to Montego Bay

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Mailpac Services Limited, the Kingston-headquartered mail and package delivery company, has established a second outlet at Riverbay Road, Montego Bay.

Locally owned by the husband and wife team of Andrew and Colleen Phillipps, Mailpac is part of the network of Aeropost International Services Inc, a Miami-based company with over 21 years of experience in the mail and package business.

Aeropost, the 'Internet Delivery Company', started operations more than 21 years ago and today links customers throughout 32 Caribbean and Latin American countries via the Internet.
This allows customers to receive their Internet purchases, mail and packages from US suppliers directly to their homes or offices in an affordable but efficient manner.

According to Mailpac's deputy managing director, Colleen Phillipps, the company's success in Jamaica over the past 10 years is in large part due to Aeropost's "highly advanced proprietary web tools which helped to establish our network as the e-commerce leader in the market".

Phillipps recalls that "when Mailpac was being established in 1998, the Internet was just coming on stream and there was a great deal of interest in Internet shopping, due to the fact that Jamaica is a small country and does not manufacture everything the consumer needs".

"The Internet made it so much easier to buy online and the response to Mailpac's service was phenomenal," a news release from the company's publicist quotes Phillips.

"We've had a lot of requests for an outlet in Montego Bay, and the time seems to be right for complying with our customers' demands", she said.

Mailpac Services Limited Montego Bay is being represented by their agents Mail Express Limited.
