'Celebrity Chef' - Cooking Demonstrations at Royal Plantation

Thursday, July 02, 2009

On Saturday, June 27, guests at the Royal Plantation resort in Ocho Rios were treated to a complimentary cooking class at the Royal Café, the first in a series of cooking demonstrations to be conducted by in-house 'celebrity chefs' comprising of the hotel's team members and managers.

Royal Plantation General Manager Peter Fraser conducts a culinary presentation for guests at the resort, as part of the 'celebrity chef' series, the first in a series of cooking demonstrations to be held every Saturday.

The 'Celebrity Chef' demonstration highlighted the culinary skills of the hotel's general manager Peter Fraser. His presentation had a Caribbean theme, and included spicy 'One Love' jerk prawns perfectly balanced with a sour cream dip and green mango salsa.

The savoury dish was made using the Sandals Lifestyle sauces: One Love Jerk Sauce; One Love Jerk Marinade; Back a Yard Jerk Barbecue Sauce; Catch a Fire Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce; Shout out Loud Extreme Hot Sauce and Miss Lisa's Back a Bush Tamarind Steak Sauce. The offering had guests salivating even before it hit the skillet, and was truly a delightful treat for the palate.

Complimentary cooking demonstrations will be held every Saturday at the Royal Café, commencing at 12:30 pm, featuring a new Royal Plantation 'celebrity chef' each week.
