ONE LOVE, a movie based on a true Jamaican love story, will start filming in another week. The project is being undertaken by a production company from Europe.

Jade Lee, spokesperson for Gee Jam Recording Studio in Jamaica, the company which will be overseeing the soundtrack of the movie, told TeenAge, "It's a European film company that is working on the movie. I am not at liberty to reveal that information right now."

Grammy nominated reggae singer Kymani Marley, son of the late reggae icon Bob Marley, will play the lead role of 'Kassa', while Dancehall Queen star Cherine Anderson will play his love interest 'Serena'.

Shooting is expected to last for approximately six weeks with filming to take place in Portland, Kingston and St Catherine.

The film is being directed by Don Letts and Rick Elgood.

The screenplay was written by noted Jamaican playwright Trevor Rhone, while Yvonne Deuchman and Sheila Farrell are the film's producers.

John Baker from Gee Jam Recording Studio in Portland, is the music director.

According to highly placed sources, the budget for the film is the largest to date for any production undertaken in Jamaica.
