Wayne Wonder, VP Records and Atlantic still intact
There is no truth to the rumour that singer Wayne Wonder's contract with VP Records and Atlantic has been terminated. According to VP's A&R director, Joel Chin, this is far from the truth.

Chin, who spoke to this column via telephone from his New York office last Friday said, "There is no truth to the rumour. We don't know how it started but I think it has to do with the promotion of Wayne's next single. It will be promoted by VP and not Atlantic Records," Chin said.
"We (VP) promoted Sean Paul's Gimmie the Light single, so we are now going to be promoting Friend Like Me the next single from Wayne's album" added Chin.

Wonder's album No Holding Back is reportedly nearing gold status. The first single No Letting Go is still holding firm in the #11 spot on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Chin added that his company is currently preparing treatments for the video to be shot for Friend Like Me. He declined to disclose who the director would be. However he said the video might be shot in the US or in Jamaica.
