Diamond-selling dancehall superstar Shaggy did a remake of the video Church Heathen, and TEENage was present as ever to give you a sneak peek of the shoot. Every TEEN Matters.
The video was again directed by Jay Will, but with a twist. All the major characters from the previous video, including 'The Pastor' played by Ninja Man; 'The Deacon Pimp'; 'Sista Pam' and 'Sista Gwen' were brought back.
"The concept had been changed. This time, the pastor's special messenger pays a visit to the club and sees the members of the church dancing to 'Heathen music', drinking, and having a good time. The messenger then goes back to the pastor and makes a report," Shaggy revealed.

When TEENage met up with Jay Will, he elaborated. "Big Yard decided to shoot over the video because the song is doing very well in England and the first video that we shot was a little controversial and MTV and other stations are not playing it because of the Biblical and Christian references involved."
He continued to state that this video will just be focusing on the energy of the dancehall, so much that over 150 dancers have been featured in the new video.
The set of dancers included Mad Michelle, Sadiki and G-Unit, Sample 6, Black Blingas, Shelly Belly, Cadillac Dancers, Dallas Dancers, Timeless and Shady Squad, just to name a few.
The video was shot in New Kingston at the Asylum Night Club as well as the Quad to enhance the dancehall vibe of the video.
Shaggy's highly anticipated fifth album, Intoxication, which features Church Heathen, is scheduled to be released between July and August on VP records.
