5 signs he'll never marry you
By SIMONE MORGAN All Woman Writer

IF your man is sweet and charming on the outside, but despite years as a couple he has failed to mention the 'M' word, chances are he may have no intention of marrying you. Here are some signs that your man does not plan to take the plunge with you, no matter what he says to the contrary.
1He is still in frequent and regular contact with one or more of his ex girlfriends (or wife) and won't include you in the friendship or introduce you.
Translation: You are not the 'number one' in his life.
2 He talks to and treats you differently (not lovingly or respectfully) when in front of his friends and family.
Translation: He doesn't care much what they think of you as a potential wife or mother of his children, as you will never be.
3 He tells you he wants to take things slowly, meet other woman and have a kind of 'open' relationship.
Translation: He thinks there is someone out there who is a better match for him.
4 It's six months into the relationship and he is still "just looking to see what happens".
Translation: He is not really that into you at the moment and as soon as he meets someone else he will be gone.
5 He tells you that he is not interested in settling down anytime soon.
Translation: If you want to get married, go find yourself someone else.

Well said.
@ Lis Pryd, this did not promise to state all the reasons a man will not commit. It only set out to list FIVE signs.

How does Common Law work? I know of the term Common Law spouse where after a certain time (10yrs?) if people have been living together they're automatically classified in that category? I resent that as well. I'm fine with the term "partner" used in many developed countries. Of course I'm a man posting on a women's forum, but maybe telling my view of things might spark a little debate.

Question is whether or not marraige is that important to a couple in the first place. Maybe some of them just don't care to get married? They love each other, want to be together, but don't want to get into the complicated intertwined legalities and technicalities of marraige? This article is more for women who depend on men financially, than for a successful independent woman. Get with the programme Jamaica - this is the 21st century.

This article doesn't necessarily tell all. U could be with a man for 10 yrs, he's sweet, loving,...acknowledges u before his and your friends; it's not an open relationship, he's doesn't keep in touch with his exes... but 8, 9, 10 yrs pass and he still doesn't marry u. I know of a few cases like this...
