9 ways to connect outside the bedroom

WHEN they talk about soul connection, many couples immediately believe that inside the bedroom is where this happens best. Well this is a myth we hope to debunk today as we explore some of the many ways you and your partner can connect when not having sex. You'll be amazed at how much fun the two of you can still have when you start to explore other rooms in your house, or outdoors.

1. Give each other a sensuous massage: No man in his right mind will turn down a sensuous massage to his scalp or to any of his other erogenous zones. A good massage, flavoured with the right amount of passion and desire, could connect you on a level that few other expressions of love can take you.

2. Take a cool shower: Surprising your guy in the shower presents a great opportunity for the two of you to explore each other outside of the bedroom. Take turns finding each other's weak spots as you lather and wash and even nibble.

3. Play a game: There are tonnes of games that you can utilise in your relationship to turn up the heat and add zest to a dull love life, and they can be done outside the bedroom. Just a little ingenuity is all you need to make a gaming session a memorable experience for your beau. You can use a stack of cards to create your own game or you could go for the traditional striptease.

4. Watch a movie: This seems very trivial, but watching a movie is a great way to gauge each other's values and reactions to life situations. If it is a movie with a lot of humour, you could really bond while having a good laugh.

5. Take a vacation: It doesn't have to be a trip to Italy or Paris like most of us dream, but just going on a road trip for the weekend can help to improve your levels of communication outside of the bedroom. Be as adventurous as possible as you try doing something new.

6. Cook up a storm: They say food is the way to a man's heart, so there is no doubt that just cooking up a scrumptious meal with him will score you some big points. Even if the food doesn't come out to your liking, just the act of doing something together will bring you closer.

7. Visit relatives: Hanging out with his relatives is a great way to learn about your spouse's antics while growing up, his fears and even the mistakes that has helped to shape him into the man you love. So visiting his mother and siblings is definitely a worthwhile activity.

8. Go shopping: Trying to shop to meet his taste and having him do the same for you can be downright hilarious, especially if you differ on manners of dressing. Shopping can be very therapeutic when you have the funds, and it can be a bonding experience when doing it together. Whether it is shopping for furniture for your new house, or buying items for the kids, or even searching around for a family car, you are bound to have a blast.

9. Sending steamy messages: The advent of smartphones has made it so much easier for us to communicate with loved ones and there is no censorship of what can be sent. It's a great way to communicate with loved ones and transmit feelings even when not in each other's presence, so text away to your heart's content.
