Dr Mandi Elliot is living her dream to help women

Dr Mandi is the living, breathing personification of Caribbean unity and integration.

I cheated, now he’s mad

Well, counsellor, you touched on the truly hurtful part...the poor man respected her enough to wait two years (probably a good Christian man waiting until he makes her a wife) then some man pops up out of the blue and eats his cake. Pity we can’t know the names of these women who write you so we men can avoid them like the plague.

—John Banton

The man will leave her in time. It is difficult for a man to stay in such a relationship. The respect has been lost, trust broken. Even though the man is trying hard to make it work, he will eventually meet some other woman out there who will make him feel so special that he is going to finally break up with this girl. It happened to me a few years ago; the woman cheated, it wasn’t sexual (that’s what she said) but it was emotional. It tore me apart because I was going to get married to this girl. It is said that some women easily yield to temptation, wanting to leave their 95% for a 5%. So sad. I do hope the man finds someone else who will love him and show him how much he is worth.

Foods to avoid if you have acne

I’ve long suspected many of these. Dermatologists won’t tell you this though. Everything can be had in moderation, however.

Women confess: what really turns me on

That’s the reason why we are finding it so difficult to have lasting relationships and suitable partners. Physical attributes (which will fade after a while) is what attracts us; so sad.

Dark chocolate is yummy and good for the heart... pass me that eye candy any hour of the day or night. Toned biceps and abs of steel... this way please. Got culinary skills and a wicked sense of humour? I’m totally into you. Share a plate with me, spoon-feed me... I’m weak in the knees.

Baby weight blues

This will go eventually. Continue breastfeeding and eating right, but incorporate exercise. Not all of us can afford to eat and hire a personal trainer like the stars, but with commitment and time it will go. My baby weight went after about a year and a half. Be in no hurry, enjoy your bonding time with your child.
