MANY stories have been told of cheaters who have been blatant in dipping into other people's cups, right under the noses of the unsuspecting partners.
In fact, some of the more popular stories surround the 'cousin', who more likely than not will be accepted by the partner, until it is realised that the 'cousin' isn't a family member at all.
"One story that always comes up at our family gatherings is about my aunt whose 'cousin' would always visit her in his bread van while my uncle was at work," Michelle B said. "We all thought they were family until she left my uncle and moved in with her 'cousin' and started bearing his children. She still laughs at us to this day for being so gullible."
This week All Woman asked persons to share their experiences with barefaced 'bun' (cheating).
Anthony H, 39:
I was seeing a girl and her sister at the same time. One sister knew but the other had no idea. I was seriously involved with one sister but the other one had liked me from a long time. She asked me for a picture and I sent her a nude picture, and that's how we started dating. The two of them were living at the same place but when the other sister and I were going to do our thing we would meet at a friend's house. The sister I was involved with never found out and we were involved for years.
Terrence W, 42:
I befriended a married woman when we were at university. Then I became friends with her husband too. As a result I became a regular visitor to their home. After a couple months the wife started to seek me out every time her husband went on the road. The neighbours suspected because every time the husband went to the country my car would be parked at the yard night and day. And as my car left, hubby's car would drive up. We kept up the relationship for years -- even now it is still happening. And the husband and I are brethren and he doesn't have a clue.
Rashida S, 43:
I have experienced it first-hand. A teenage girl was staying with me; she was still in high school and was my husband's cousin. She really was his cousin because her mother was the one who had asked me if she could stay with us while she went overseas for six months. It was my husband's relative so I didn't mind. But I started noticing things between her and my husband that drew my suspicions and she would start disrespecting me and saying things like, 'some woman don't know how to satisfy their man and so the man have to turn to other people', or she would come to me and ask me what is infidelity. It's a long story, but the long and short of it is that my husband used to get up in the middle of the night, leave our matrimonial bed, go over to her room and then flush the toilet to make it look as if that was where he was. He would have oral sex with her, and from what I later learnt, he would have had intercourse with her but she refused. They are the ones who later confessed this to me after I confronted them. I moved out and she went back to her family.
Audrey D, 37:
There was this guy I grew up with. Really and truly, I grew up thinking we were cousins. We lost contact and then met again at a relative's funeral. That was when my parents told me that we really weren't blood-related. I was married and he would come to the house often. He admitted that he had liked me since I was very young. I didn't think much of it because I still held him as my cousin and my husband accepted him as my cousin. He would come by and even sleep over, even when my husband was there, and when my husband was not there we actually slept together. I would also tell my husband I was going to visit my 'cousin' at his home and we would have sex. It has ended, but to this day my husband doesn't have a clue.
Deborah S, 43:
When I was very young, I had a boyfriend who was a police officer. We had this really great relationship and were planning on getting married and everything. Everywhere you'd see him you would see me, and everywhere you'd see me you would see him. People used to ask if we were twins. He would visit my house and my sister and he would talk. Of course that was OK with me. I actually liked the fact that they got along. She was two years older than me. Then one day she told me she was pregnant. He was the father! I had no idea that they were sleeping together to the point where she got pregnant. I moved out and we broke up. To this day I can say that was the worst thing that ever happened to me. But I learnt one thing -- trust no one!
