PHOTO: Bringing cheer to seniors

Monday, September 17, 2012

From left, Marjorie James, Past President and Director of the Lions Club of New Kingston; Bev McCook, member of the Jamaica Red Cross, and Susan Moore, director of recipient services at Food For The Poor Jamaica, are all smiles as they present a gift package to 80-yearold Ethel Brown during a treat at the Rockfort Mineral Bath recently. The annual senior citizens treat was organised by the Lions Club of New Kingston, Food For The Poor Jamaica and the Jamaica Red Cross in recognition of Senior Citizens Month. The event, which was held last Saturday, gave seniors the opportunity to socialise and experience the curative powers of Rockfort Mineral Bath. Additionally, the seniors were provided with a delicious Jamaican breakfast and a gift package containing toiletries.
