His annoying habits: get him to change

Does your man have annoying habits that leave you wanting to tear your hair out? If yes, you are not alone. All Woman shares with you this week tips on how to get them to break some of these habits.

Unless you are a child, no one likes going to bed with Spongebob or Superman. So if your man takes pride in his favourite cartoon character and even wears them to bed, try buying him pairs of plain underpants. Then compliment him on how good he looks in them and reward him.

Passing gas almost anywhere.

Not passing gas is not an option, but there are those men who take great pleasure in releasing it anywhere and everywhere, not caring that not only are they in the presence of others but that they are also stifling them. If your partner is one of those culprits, let him know how embarrassed you are when he makes his presence known with flatulence and suggest that the next time he feels the urge to pass gas, he should simply go to the restroom or to a place where he is by himself.

Wearing the same old thing over and over.

Men often have the weirdest attachment to some things; it may be a T-shirt that has passed through many storms in Jamaica or an overworked pair of shoes. Women, create an 'accident' in which the poor thing will get ruined or destroyed. It is better when it is someone else's fault so you do not get blamed for it so ask a friend or a relative for a hand in its destruction -- like making it shrink or change colour in the wash if it's an item of clothes or left out in the rain if it's a pair of shoes. Then be nice and show your sympathy in his time of grief.

Smacking of the lips when eating.

Men, if slurping your soup and smacking your lips is the only way to show your woman that you are enjoying her cooking, she would rather not know. Not only is it annoying, it is also impolite. Try eating with your mouth closed. Women, tell your man if he keeps it up, he will be eating dinner alone.

Picking of nose in public.

When the intention is to clean the nostrils and it is done in the privacy of the bathroom, it is quite acceptable. It is disgusting when done in public. Ladies, there is no easy way to get them to break this habit but for starters, remind them of how unhygienic and unhealthy it is.

Adjusting the privates in public.

First of all men, your privates aren't going anywhere. And if it is that you have to scratch, be discreet as it is far from appealing to women. Women are not immune to the occasional itch either but you don't see them putting their hands under their skirts for a quick scratch. Women, encourage your men to use the restroom when they feel the urge to scratch.

Leaving a trail.

Whether it be taking a shower or preparing a meal, cleaning the yard or working on a project, men have a tendency to leave a long line of items in their wake. From clothes leading to the bathroom when it is time to take a shower, to dishes and pots and pans when they are "helping out" with dinner, it is always easy to tell where your spouse was and what he was doing. To help him break the habit, tell him how much you appreciate the projects he has been 'helping' with around the house but that you would be more grateful if he cleaned up after himself.
