HE could have the body of Tyrese, or money and swag like Jay Z, but without certain key character traits, your man may not be worth marrying.
Below, 10 women tell some of the signs to note for whether he's worth being with for the long haul.
1. Coleen Brown, receptionist:
A man who is well off, but not necessarily rich, one who respects women and remembers special days. Someone with a good sense of humour.
2. Andrea Johnson, office assistant:
Someone who is loving and romantic, that is most important. Someone who communicates well and who is willing to support his family.
3. Claudette Stewart, teacher:
Like Steve Harvey said in his book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, women want men who will apply the three Ps -- Profess his feelings to her, Provide for her, and Protect her. If a man has these three attributes then he is the marrying type.
4. Stacy-Ann Gray, regional extension officer:
A mature, responsible, loving, romantic Christian man with good moral integrity and who is a good father.
5. Nadine Clarke, make-up artist:
The man who can kiss you in the morning, with morning breath, who adores you and always makes you feel special, and who comes with the genes to give you beautiful and smart babies.
6. Alphea Saunders, media practitioner:
Sensitive, caring, humorous, responsible, and strong. Not a 'yes man', but not one who doesn't shy away from conflicts. Not a wimp, but a man who is able to stand on his own, yet respects your opinion.
7. Odette Thomas, banker:
Somebody who gets along well with others is worth marrying. This says a lot about a person and how he has been socialised. If he doesn't get on well with others it means something is wrong with him and not everyone else as he would want to claim.
8. Heather Fung, chef:
A man who is well endowed and who has good conversational skills.
9. Heather Welsh, stock clerk:
One who knows God.
10. Lisa Fenton, hairdresser:
A man who can cook and clean, wash and iron and who can take care of the children.
