Monday, June 25, 2012
Professor Denise Eldemire-Shearer (right), chair of the Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP), discusses "matters of the heart" with Claudine Richards, assistant supervisor with the Heart Foundation of Jamaica. They were at the CCRP 2nd Anniversary Expo held recently at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. The Heart Foundation was among a number of private and public sector exhibitors highlighting their services at the event. They offered free blood pressure checks and discounted rates on cholesterol and blood sugar testing to patrons at the event.
