Nicola Madden Greig is new JHTA president

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Nicola Madden Greig was on Saturday elected president of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) at the association’s annual general meeting held at the Jamaica Pegasus in Kingston.

Madden Greig, Group Director of Courtleigh Hotel and Suites, the Knutsford Court Hotel, Expedition Ltd, the Holiday Inn Sunspree Montego Bay and the Jamaica Pegasus beat Evelyn Smith 66 to 59 votes to head the tourism sector umbrella group.

Madden Greig has served the JHTA as first Vice President since 2011 and is a member of the joint JHTA/Jamaica Tourist Board Marketing sub-committee and the Tourism Product Development Committee.

"I intend to represent the JHTA with distinction, continue the fine work of the previous president and maintain the JHTA's prominent voice in national affairs," Madden Grieg said in her acceptance speech.
