THERE are some men, believe it or not, who will remain faithful to their women through thick and thin. These men will not give their partners sleepless nights because of their unexplained absences, nor have other women calling the matrimonial home threatening their wives. The non-cheater is the kind of man who won't put his wife through the trauma of having another woman turn up at the doorstep with a newborn baby he allegedly fathered

Here are the signs to look for in identifying a man with very little or no tendency to cheat.

1. He has never cheated in past relationships.

The best way to tell how someone will react in their present relationship is to look at their past one. If he has never cheated despite what was happening in his past relationship, then this is a good indicator he will not cheat on you. "The 'once a cheater always a cheater' rule is true — tested and proven," relationship counsellor Janese Sinclair said.

2. He introduces you to his friends and takes you everywhere.

After just a few months he can't wait for you to meet his parents and friends. Then when you meet his mother, she tells you he had only taken home one other woman in the past and that was five years ago. He is also very willing to have you accompany him just about everywhere he is going to the point where you have to be the one backing out. "If he takes you everywhere; if he is always calling or texting, and if you always know what he's doing, there's little chance that he will cheat," Sinclair said.

3. He's emotionally loyal.

He has your back in just about every way and ensures that you are taken care of. You can really feel that he is committed to you. He tries to make your life as stress-free as possible, looks out for your comfort and is always there emotionally. You can feel his loyalty way out of the bedroom. "A committed man will make you feel at ease," Sinclair explained. "If you don't feel comfortable or at ease, chances are something is amiss. Trust your intuition."

4. He hurries home from work.

Like clockwork he gets home round about the same time every day. In fact, you have to force him out the house to spend time with his old buddies and when he does he calls you round the clock checking to see if you are OK. Then he tells you he doesn't see the joy in going out if you are not there. "A man whose life revolves around yours, won't have time to engage his affections with anyone else," Sinclair said.

5. You have no reason to doubt him.

A woman's instinct is usually spot on. If your gut feeling is that he can be trusted, then chances are he can. According to some experts, instinct is the subconscious picking up on real-life indicators. So, if you feel like you can trust him but can't quite pinpoint why, it's most likely because you've actually been subconsciously noticing all the actions he's been doing that demonstrate he's a committed and trustworthy guy.

"Again, trust your instincts," Sinclair said. "Woman's intuition is accurate almost all the time."
