Dr Beverly McKenzie engages students in the Help Establish Library Projects in Jamaica (HELP Jamaica) programme recently. She was at the education centre of the German-Jamaican charity organisation, located at 5 Cassava Piece Road in Kingston. The programme caters to inner-city residents of communities, including Cassava Piece, Stony Hill, Grant's Pen, Big Yard, Hungry Town, Whitehall, Red Hills Road, Mannings Hill Road, and Above Rocks. There are currently more than 100 children, ages six to 13, and 60 adults in the programme, which offers homework assistance and adult education classes. (Photo: Garfield Robinson)
