Vibes Cuisine, which aired last night on CVM TV, promises to be a fresh, innovative cooking show. Viewers can tune in four times per week for original broadcasts: 6:55 pm on Wednesdays and 7:55 pm on Sundays (with a repeat aired the following morning).
The show, hosted by Michelle Jones, will teach viewers how to prepare meals that look and taste as if an award-winning chef is running the kitchen. The word 'vibes' denotes the colourful character and energy of island people and their foods, while 'cuisine' defines the programme's homage to the art of cookery - a spicy combination of culinary delights.
Local produce and products will be featured in the programme which focuses on one of Jamaica's favourite past times - eating. Traditional foods will be given gourmet treatment with recipes that promote quick, easy, economical yet healthy meals, hence the slogan 'The Caribbean cooking show with international flavour'.
Best Dressed Chicken, Best Dressed Fish, Reggae Jammin's and Content Beef brands from the Jamaica Broilers Group; and Seprod 'N' Joy Juices are the sponsors.
Vibes Cuisine is produced by Visual Concepts.
