A Spectacular Event

Thursday, June 07, 2012

As the nation readies to celebrate 50 years of Independence, players in the food industry signalled their intent to not only carve a substantial niche out of a multibillion-dollar pie but, most importantly, position The Rock as the next new food destination...

The Jamaica Observer Food Awards took over the Formal Gardens and the East Lawns of Devon House last Thursday evening. Over a thousand stylishly outfitted patrons stepped out to taste, eat, drink and applaud the foodie event. The grounds of the historic property was a kaleidoscope of gorgeous sights and delicious flavours — with over 60 food exhibitors setting up pop-up restaurants and tasting endroits.
