Absolut Mode Edition — Reflecting The World Of Fashion
Thursday, December 22, 2011
Reinforcing its long-lasting collaboration with the fashion world, ABSOLUT VODKA, through its local distributor J Wray & Nephew Limited has released a new limited edition bottle — ABSOLUT MODE — in Jamaica in time for the festive season.
Since the early 1990s, ABSOLUT has collaborated with leading fashion designers including Tom Ford and Versace, Stella McCartney and Gaultier and with the release of ABSOLUT MODE, the iconic vodka brand has extended its collaboration to three leading names from the contemporary fashion scene — fashion designer Gareth Pugh, supermodel Shannan Click and renowned fashion photographer Sharif Hamza.
The ABSOLUT MODE limited edition is a redesign of ABSOLUT'S iconic bottle and features glass facets that catch reflections of light. It has been "dressed" by Gareth Pugh with a wrapped band in midnight blue silk cloth with text embroidery.
To capture the unique bottle design, fashion photographer Sharif Hamza built a large version of the bottle, with mirror facets, and then placed supermodel Shannan Click within the bottle, and dressed her in midnight blue creation. The shoot resulted in one of the most fashionable ABSOLUT campaigns ever.
Chesna Haber, brand manager for ABSOLUT VODKA in Jamaica, is very excited about the new ABSOLUT VODKA limited edition.
"For the last few years we have released a new limited edition ABSOLUT VODKA bottle in time for the Christmas season including ABSOLUT BLING-BLING, ABSOLUT DISCO AND ABSOLUT GLIMMER."
"These have been well received in the market and I am very excited about the prospects for ABSOLUTE MODE. Jamaica is one of 80 markets around the world where ABSOLUT consumers as well as spirit and limited edition collectors can purchase a bottle of ABSOLUT MODE."
ABSOLUT MODE has since December 17, been available at leading gifts shops, wholesalers, supermarkets, and anywhere fine spirits are sold in Jamaica.
