Celebrations On The Deck At Gloria's Port Royal
Thursday, February 28, 2013
Jeannie Watson's recent Sunday birthday brunch afforded family members and friends the opportunity to not only express congratulatory wishes to the charming philanthropist, but to applaud the relatively new wooden addition of Gloria's Port Royal Top Deck.
Tanya Prawl has not only ably continued her late mother's - the celebrated Gloria whose name was synonymous with Port Royal and superb seafood- tradition, but is slowly upgrading as her customer base expands. "We added this deck last year August in time for the Olympics," she tells Thursday Food "And our clients love it". Fact is, what's not to love about the caressing breeze afforded from the top deck, coupled with the postcard-perfect view of the Caribbean Sea.
The menu options selected by Jeannie Watson's friends Chris and Michelle Bovell, Charles Hanna and Rosie McIver represented the bounty of the sea - all that Port Royal is known for: appetisers of oyster and conch fritters served with a honey mustard dip, and mains of escoveitched fish, lobster tails, curried lobster, garlic lobster, garlic shrimp, festivals, and bammies.
Eat fish in abundance for Lent and add Gloria's Port Royal to your restaurant options.
Here's to many more birthdays Jeannie.
