Harry Takes Lunch

Thursday, March 08, 2012

His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales (always known as Harry) continued his Rock tour -- as part of his grandmother, The Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations -- with a private lunch at Devon House hosted by Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller Tuesday last. Thursday Food takes you inside the mansion's formal dining room where the Prince and 11 other guests -- which included minister of transport and works, Omar Davies; minister of youth and culture, Lisa Hanna; Information Minister Sandrea Falconer and the British High Commisioner Howard Drake and his wife Gill -- enjoyed lunch.

Transforming the setting for the Royal occasion was the multi-award winning stylist Ann-Marie Wyss, of Every Blooming Thing whose whimsical bowls of coffee bean-embedded orchids added a wonderful joie de vivre to the dining room and became a veritable conversation piece. There'd be talk too, of the now infamous Bolt vs Prince Henry race, music, as well as the fare created by the Grogg Shoppe. Thursday Food shares highlights from the Royal do, and of course what the Prince ate.
