Salut! The Melhados cater in
Thursday, November 01, 2012
The Jamaica Observer-driven Salut! rolled out its second week of celebration — Cater-In Week — last Sunday in fine style in the salubrious climes of upper St Andrew. The venue was the well-appointed residence of ICD Group CEO Peter Melhado and wife Nicola, special projects manager at the American International School of Kingston (AISK). The guest list numbered 26 of the Melhados’ inner circle including Nicola’s BFF, attorney-at-law Dianne Belnavis, who was among five birthday celebrants being fêted at brunch. Preparing the late-morning nouvelle meal was recent Jamaica Observer Food Awards recipient, chef Oji Jaja. On the menu: watermelon feta and mint, ackee and roasted vegetable ragout, parsley pesto crusted snapper fillet and other tasty treats Jaja whipped up. Thursday Life shares highlights.
