Immaculate wins first Cheerleading contest

Immaculate Conception High School, winners of the inaugural cheerleading contest doing their stuff.

Immaculate Conception High School was on Sunday last crowned winners of the first-ever cheerleading contest held in the island.

Displaying great dexterity with their moves and a quite unique routine, the girls from Constant Spring Road in Kingston thrilled the audience and won the hearts of the judges.

The Ardenne High School cheerleaders, placed fourth in the competition.

The cheerleading contest was the exciting end of the Jamfit/Ministry of Health cheerleading finals which began, with the prejudging of cheers, chants and steps in the Hilton Ballroom on Saturday.

Finishing second was Hillel Academy with third going to The Queens School.

Other schools competing were Ardenne High, Merl Grove High and Denham Town High.
