THE Twelve Tribes of Israel headquarters (81-83 Hope Road) will reverberate with the pulsating reggae beat tonight as entertainers who are members of that organisation, lend their artistic abilities in support of the Building Shashemane fundraiser concert.
Artistes who will be singing for the rebuilding effort of the Ethiopian community where thousands of Jamaican Rastafarian families have been resettled include Jahmel, Natural Black, Orthodox Issachar, The Seers, Sydney Salmon, Simon Dan and many others from home and aboard.

They will all be backed by the Horace "Sangie" Davis-led Twelve Tribe Band, the horn section of which had the Prophet Gad dancing up a storm a week ago at the Orthodox Recording and Publishing Company.
So those members and well-wishers who were not at the Hilton Hotel on Friday, Novemebr 2 when "Gad-Man" provided this rare treat, may bes in for a second chance tonight, especially if the band retains the services of Dean Fraser (saxophone), David Madden (trumpet) and trombonist, Nambo Robinson. For it was they, along with saxman Egbert Evans (himself a 12-Tribes member) who worked the magic on the prophet, the last time around.

Jahlove Muzik, the sound system founded by the late Earl Belcher, will provide the kind of music for which it is famous.
The Hope Road HQ should see a capacity crowd, if for no others reason, the Rastafari community (inclusive of all Mansions) worldwide is still in celebration of the 71st anniversary of Haile Selassie's coronation.
So Twelve Tribes members alone are expected to be out in droves for it's not just another concert. It has great significance even for the wider Rastafari community.
Shashemane is an area in Ethiopia that Haile Selassie from the early 1960s granted to Jamaican Rastafarians who wish to return to the continent as a personal gift.
Over the years, Shashemane has been populated by Rastafarians of all Houses, but the area is in need of massive development in terms of infrastructure and certain amenities.
It is only fitting therefore, that this prominent Rastafari organisation with members from all over the globe, many of whom are expected to be in attenance tonight, should lead the redevelopment of the effort.
Prior to showtime, there will be a health fair for children in the afternoon.
