Tragedy at premiere

NEW YORK, USA (AP) — The movie industry was grappling on yesterday with the deadly Colorado shooting at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, as one of the most anticipated films of the decade became enmeshed with a horrifying tragedy.

The shooting, which killed 12 and left at least 50 injured in an Aurora, Colorado, movie theatre, reverberated through Hollywood and upended carefully laid plans for the global release of The Dark Knight Rises. Warner Bros quickly cancelled a premiere planned for Paris and cancelled press interviews in France.
