How they met....

Lianna and Dean met while attending Florida International University. Coincidentally, Lianna's cousin Rebecca was dating Dean's close friend and they played a key role in them being involved in a romantic relationship. Rebecca encouraged him to make his move, which he did via Facebook. They later exchanged numbers and after a week of dating they both decided they wanted to enter a serious relationship. "I knew he was 'the one' only about three to four months after meeting him. He had this look in his eye when we first started dating like nothing in the world meant more to him than me," shared Lianna.

The Engagement...

The couple got engaged on August 16 while on a family vacation aboard The Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Sea cruise. While on the bow of the ship one night Dean held Lianna in his arms and said, "Just thinking about how amazing you are and how lucky I am makes me want to cry." Dean then got down on one knee and proposed. Lianna didn't believe him at first but realised he was serious when she saw him take out the engagement ring.

The wedding...

The couple dated for two years and three months before getting married. Before the ceremony Dean gave his bride-to-be a beautiful diamond charm bracelet that spelt out the word love along with a MacBook Air. Lianna gave him a timeless white dial Rolex and a card expressing how much he meant to her.

The wedding's vintage theme in colours of the peacock was brought to life by Island Brides and Tai Flora. The sounds of Marry Me by Train heralded the arrival of the bridal party who clutched bouquets of blue Dendrobium orchids and Hydrangeas. The song was edited to ensure that they would walk to the verses and the bride would walk to the chorus of the song.

The bride walked up the aisle in a sequinned corset gown by Stephen Yearick with a chic birdcage veil. She and her bridesmaids had their hair done by Merl Greene. Loni Jones flawlessly applied their make-up. She was escorted up the aisle by her dad Neil Beckno to meet her groom who, along with his groomsmen, were smartly outfitted in Calvin Klein. "I wasn't nervous getting ready, the only time I got a little nervous was before Lianna walked up the aisle," Dean admitted.

The wedding was officiated by Reverend Kenute Francis, who ensured that the couple understood the serious nature of the commitment they were making to each other. The couple performed a unity candle ceremony during which Chrissy D sang. To end the ceremony a poem was read and a dove was released in memory of Dean's niece Bella who died three months prior to the wedding. "Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and magical," shared Lianna.

The reception...

...took place at Cary Island in Ocho Rios, beneath a beautifully draped white tent which was decorated by Tai Flora. Wedding planners Island Brides ensured that the wedding's theme was beautifully executed. The wedding was catered by Anna Kay Tomlinson of Miss T's Kitchen, while the couple's cake was designed by the bride, who also created the cake topper. Signature Cakes made the cake and all the desserts. Shortly after the cake was cut, Lianna changed into her second dress. When they were reintroduced to the reception area their guests held sparkler lights which illuminated the tent. The couple shared their first dance to Stop This World by Ne-Yo. They then danced the rest of the night away with their guests to the mixes of DJ Kevin.

They honeymooned at Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay for three nights.
