Cops kill man in Spaldings

Saturday, August 18, 2012

SPALDINGS, Clarendon — The police yesterday shot and killed a man, who was on its wanted list, in the tiny rural community of Booth Town in Spaldings.

The man, identified as Errol Cohen, a 48-year-old farmer, was shot about 9:00 in the morning when he allegedly attacked members of the constabulary who had gone to arrest him. He was pronounced dead at the Percy Junor Hospital.

Police said there was a warrant out for Cohen, who was wanted for chopping and wounding a relative earlier this week.
