Sadiki Bolt predicts gold, Olympic record in 4X100m relays

LONDON, England — Sadiki Bolt — repeat double Olympic sprint champion, Usain's, older brother — is predicting an Olympic record and gold in today's men's 4x100m relay as the competition in the Olympic Games track and field comes to an end, a day before the global sporting spectacle closes.

Sadiki, who was accompanying Usain's parents Wellesley and Jennifer to see the athlete in the Athletes' Village yesterday, said Usain, who won the 100m in a new Olympic record 9.63 seconds on Sunday night at Olympic Stadium and the 200m in 19.32 seconds Thursday night, has done what he came to London to do.

"That's what we came here for and we are satisfied," he said. "It is now just to complete the work in the 4x100m and repeat (what happened in) Beijing," Sadiki, who has been in London for two weeks, told the Jamaica Observer.

He predicted that the men's relay team with Bolt anchoring would break the Olympic record 37.10 seconds set by a Jamaica quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Bolt and Asafa Powell on anchor.
