Monday, August 20, 2012

LIME is now finalising plans to welcome over 30,000 patrons including students and parents for the staging of its big back-to-school event, 'LIME Skool Aid', set for Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Jamworld showground in Waterford, Portmore.

Sponsorship Manager Stephen Miller said the event would offer a complete suite of services needed for the reopening of schools in September.

"Again we will be offering free health and dental checks including immunisations and free back-to-school supplies. We will also be hosting a number of suppliers and retailers of various educational items from which parents can access a wide range of back-to-school essentials all in one location", Miller pointed out in a news release.

"In addition, we also promise a fun-filled day of activities , prizes and surprises", which Miller highlights will include a Skool Aid 'Olympics Zone', petting zoo, rides, and a host of other entertainment".

Miller said students who attend the event could win one of several scholarships and other educational incentives being offered by the company.

"Over the past two years we have provided more than 30 educational grants for both primary and secondary students" he added.

"Now in its third year, the highly anticipated event will also offer a range of deals and discounts on LIME products and services, including computers and Internet packages," LIME said.

Tickets for the event are available at select LIME locations in Kingston and Portmore with the purchase of a $200 mobile top-up or 'Jus Talk' international calling card.
