KINGSTON, Jamaica — Residents of Baldwin Crescent in Duhaney Park, St Andrew today made a desperate call for authorities to fix a huge crater covering a majority of the roadway.

"The hole is so large a truck can literally fall over into it," a resident commented.

The woman was one of several people from the area who said that workmen came to the community several months ago and dug the hole in the road but never returned to fill it.

"This is unacceptable that a major road in the community was left in this manner,” another resident said.
They were unable to say what company the workmen represented.
In the meantime the huge crater remains a threat to the lives of motorists and hampers the free flow of pedestrians.
