Curfew imposed in St Andrew South police division

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A curfew has been imposed in a section of the St Andrew South police division. The curfew began at 6:00 pm Thursday and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Saturday, August 18, the police say.

The boundaries of the curfew, primarily in Majesty Gardens, are as follows:

North along Spanish Town Road from Twickenham Close to Marcus Garvey Drive;

East along Marcus Garvey Drive from Spanish Town Road to the train line;

South along the train line, from Marcus Garvey Drive to Twickenham Close and west along Twickenham Close from the train line to Spanish Town Road.

During the hours of the curfew the police has advised that all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of security forces in charge.
