‘Dog Paw’ co-accused freed of gun rap

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

RICARDO Jones, a friend of reputed gang leader Christopher ‘Dog Paw’ Linton was on Friday acquitted of gun charges in the High Court Division of the Gun Court.

Meanwhile, co-accused Linton and Micah Allen were not as lucky as Justice Sarah Thompson Jones turned down no-case submissions made on their behalf.

As a result, Linton and Allen will start presenting their case on Friday.

Jones was freed as the court was not satisfied that he was among a group of four men whom the Crown is alleging shot at the police on a night in April 2010.

According to the Crown’s case, Linton, Jones and Allen shot at the two police officers who were travelling in a service vehicle along Tavern Drive in St Andrew.
