Isaac to pass northeast of Jamaica, expect thunderstorms

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Tropical Storm Isaac continues its westward trek and is expected move over Haiti passing northeast of Jamaica. The Met office in its 5:00am bulletin advised that there will be an increase in cloudiness this afternoon with outbreaks of showers and scattered thunderstorms today and tomorrow, particularly over sections of northern parishes.
This morning, showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected over St Thomas and other eastern parishes.
Fishers on the cays and banks are urged to complete their preparations and be on the alert to evacuate at short notice, should it become necessary. Marine operators are also urged not to venture far from the mainland.
