‘Jesus’, other man charged for Papine shooting
Thursday, July 05, 2012 | 6:22 AM
TWO persons have been charged in relation to a May 12 shooting incident in Papine.
Charged with shooting with intent and wounding with intent are Tiro Williams, otherwise called ‘Jesus’, 24, of Dallas Road in August Town, St Andrew, and 23-year-old Shavez Letford of Tavern Drive, Kingston 7.
They are scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday.
Williams and Letford were taken into custody on June 20 after investigations revealed that they were among a group of armed men who attacked a man in Papine on May 12 and opened fire at him, injuring him.
Detectives believe that the incident is related to recent gang-related violence in the August Town area, and are continuing their investigations.
