KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was shot dead and two others shot and injured in Stony Hill, St Andrew yesterday.

The dead man has been identified as 42-year-old shop owner, Derrick Irving, otherwise called 'Ninja' of Rocky Valley district in the parish.

The Stony Hill Police report that about 7:40 pm, Irving was at his place of business when a man armed with a handgun opened fire at him, hitting him all over his body.

Minutes later, an unknown assailant opened fire at a passing taxicab, injuring the taxi operator and his female passenger.
