Professor

This beloved piece of rock is moving in retrograde motion. It is hard to ask the question "what is the doctor thinking?" because this is not thinking at all... I think we are at the point where Albert Einstein says, "thinking that has brought me this far, has created problems it cannot solve". Way to go Doc!

Dane

Truth! As if the bank fees themselves weren't bad enough. If you don't mind Clovis, I want to pin up these cartoons up on the door of Gordon House.

woodpecker

An unconscionable, cruel, wicked and uncaring government.

Regent

It is a disgrace what the government allows and imposes on the Jamaican public.

NowUCMe

This is true for most, if not, every country. After they tax our pay cheque and give us the little that is left, we still have to pay more taxes out of it (clothes tax, food tax, entertainment tax, etc). So basically we just a work to pay taxes and bills.

Dane

Despite this whole thing about new bank taxes, something is missing here. Do you know what it is? That's right, where are those who've been chanting "free worl' boss"? By now, they should be chanting 'no new taxes!' What, the tax doesn't affect them? If not, they should teach me how to do it!

justiceisservedtomincemeat

This is just absolutely sad. This is one tax that doesn't even make sense. Why should we pay a tax to take our own monies? I am a public sector worker and I have not gotten a pay increase since 2008. Everything has gone up and my pay remains the same, yet I must fork out 1% out of every money I take from the ATM and physically from the bank. This is one time I am not going to take this lying down I am definitely going to sign the online petition. It might not get me anywhere, but at least I would have tried.

AG

"We put people first". Yeahhhh right; what a joke :-). The PNP soon start taxing us just to breathe in God's fresh air (assuming you live far from the Riverton City dump).

needanewjamaica

Have to take serious things mek laugh.

LZR

Mi caan laugh... it too sad! Their methods to make Jamaica better are counterproductive. No one will survive this onslaught and extortionate act by govt. All they see is money; they do not value lives!
