3 arrested over child porn ring
Saturday, January 07, 2012
THREE people, among them a German national, were Wednesday arrested on suspicion of operating what the police believe is a child pornography ring in the Corporate Area.
A police source told the Observer that several sexually explicit video tapes were confiscated during the operation to arrest the men.
According to the Denham Town police, the foreigner is before the court on other sexual assault charges. In this case the men are suspected of engaging in sexual activity with "numerous" underage girls.
The men were arrested following a complaint from a teenager who the police suspect was one of several young girls who had fallen victim to the men.
The men have been handed over to the Organised Crime Investigation Division and Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse.
